Join us for a weekend of activities, celebrating Romantic-era fashions, in the hometown of the "Gentleman Jack", Anne Lister.
​
The weekend will include a visit to Bankfield Museum, Shibden Hall and a costumed evening dinner.
Itinerary
Saturday 22nd March 2025
10am - 12 noon: Visit to Bankfield Museum - See the new exhibition in the fashion gallery and then view some original 1830s pieces from the museum collection.
12 noon - 2pm: Free time for lunch.
2pm - 4.30pm: Visit to Shibden Hall - An exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, including a visit to the tower library.
4.30pm - 6.30pm: Free time to change from daywear into evening wear.
6.30pm: Dinner.

Sunday 23rd March 2025 (optional)
Visit to Haworth, and a wuthering walk on the moors following in the footsteps of the Brontë sisters.
Or, if the weather is inclement, a promenade around Halifax town and into the Piece Hall.
Dress Code
'Romantic Era' 1820s to late 1840s fashions - big sleeves are encouraged!
